A few netizens connected the plastic disaster with the government’s reclamation plan. Coincidentally, places where containers carrying sacks of Sinopec plastics were salvaged are close to the four biggest reclamation sites.

Blue hoods mean places where containers were salvaged. When I discussed the matter with other netizens, we found that discovery places match with the government’s potential reclamation sites. Like Tung O of Lamma Island, a main disaster area, attracted a developer. However, it was given up due to environmental problems. These plastic pellets look like fish eggs and fit the aim of targeting fish and bird. If numbers of bird and fish reduce, preservation areas won’t be preserved and can be developed in the future. I am deeply worried that the media would self-censor since it is likely related to Mainland China – Hong Kong sailing tour (海上自駕遊) and real estate developments. Newspapers are afraid of losing advertisements. With Mainland China – Hong Kong sailing tour, developers can build super luxury homes with yacht piers. And I estimate that reducing the number of bird is also for the development of Mai Po. Please notice everyone. It seems that Hong Kong has reached a critical period.

濕膠王(*continues): Two containers: One is near Hei Ling Chau and Cheung Chau. Another one is near Lemma North. Hei Ling Chau, Peng Chau, and Cheung Chau are targets of reclamation. Lamma (Island) North is also another target.

Beaufort Island is listed as a big reclamation site by the government. It enjoys a big plastic pellets carrying container so that (the destruction) is guaranteed. There is another plan to connect Beaufort Island with Po Toi Island. Therefore, another container was added between islands.

The government wanted to have a big development in Tung O of Lamma Island. Later, it was given up due to environment issue. And Tung O is a main disaster area of this plastic disaster. The salvaged container is near Tung O.
Main disaster area
Despite Tung O is not on the reclamation plan , it was a on plan of a very large scale luxury homes project. However, it was rejected because of environment issues.
